Audit Application

The CBDMA™ Standards are designed to:

  • Establish a minimum acceptable benchmark for disability management programs
  • Identify opportunities for disability management program improvement
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices in disability management

The CBDMA™ is comprised of 180 questions grouped into three main categories:

  • Disability Management Policy and Workplace Resources
  • Disability Prevention
  • Early Intervention and Timely Return to Work Process

There are four main phases involved in the Audit process:

  • Contracting a licensed auditing firm to perform the CBDMA™ at the workplace
  • Interviews with workers and management to verify disability management practices used at the workplace
  • Verification of documentation to confirm disability management processes and systems comply with audit standards
  • Standardized audit scoring and written report disseminating audit results
